Pension Management Workshop for Human Resource and Principal Officers.

As Uganda's pension landscape evolves, this workshop will provide participants with critical insights into regulatory compliance, investment strategies, and risk management, preparing them to navigate this dynamic environment.

The pension sector in Uganda serves approximately 1.5 million registered members across various public and private schemes, playing a vital role in ensuring financial stability for retirees. However, it faces significant challenges, including regulatory adherence, optimizing investment performance, and governance issues.

A notable demographic trend within the sector is that a substantial portion of pension scheme members is aged between 30 and 50. This highlights the urgent need for effective retirement planning as these individuals approach retirement age. By attending this workshop, participants will gain valuable knowledge and skills to address these challenges directly, ultimately contributing to a stronger and more resilient pension sector in Uganda

  1. Navigating Uganda's evolving regulatory landscape to ensure that pension schemes adhere to legal requirements and best practices.
  2. Optimizing returns while effectively managing risks to enhance the overall performance of pension schemes.

  5. Developing targeted strategies to support effective retirement planning for members who are nearing retirement age.
  6. Enhancing communication and educational initiatives to build trust and promote active participation in pension schemes among members.
  7. Exploration of unique issues within Uganda’s pension sector, such as low participation rates and financial literacy among members.
  8. Leveraging insights and tools to foster sustainability and long-term growth within Uganda’s pension industry, ensuring its robustness against future challenges
